Privacy Policy
Best of 7 is a small app for tracking each day as a win or a loss and keeping short journal notes. This page explains what it stores and why.
What we collect
- Your account details. The email address and password you sign up with, or, if you use Google sign-in, the basic profile information Google shares with us, such as your name and email address. Passwords are handled by our sign-in provider, and we never see them in readable form.
- Your entries. For each day you log: the date, whether you marked it a win or a loss, and any note you write.
- Guest use. If you use the app without an account, your entries are stored only in your browser on your device. We do not receive them. If you later sign in, they are copied into your account.
How we use it
Only to run the app: to sign you in, save your entries, and show them back to you on any device. We do not sell your data, show ads, or use your entries for anything else.
Who it is shared with
We use a few services to operate the app. They process data on our behalf:
- Supabase for sign-in and the database that stores your entries.
- Netlify to host the website. Hosts keep standard request logs.
- Google for Google sign-in (if you choose it) and for the fonts the pages load.
Privacy of your entries
The app is built so that each person can read only their own entries. The person who runs the app has administrative access to the database for maintenance, and does not use entries for other purposes. No online service is perfectly secure, so avoid writing anything in your notes that you would not want stored online.
Cookies and browser storage
The app stores a sign-in token in your browser so you stay signed in. It does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data until you ask us to delete it. Email us from the address you signed up with and we will delete your account and all of your entries.
Children
Best of 7 is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
